D&RGW 472

D&RGW 472 was scrapped in 1945 after use on the White Pass and Yukon Railway in Alaska. WP&Y 252 (472), shipped back to Ogden, Utah, but refused by D&RGW, scrapped 1945 (boiler shipped to Pueblo, Colo., but never used)

Denver & Rio Grande Western R.R. Class K-28. Originally, D&RGW #472. Purchased by the U.S. Army in 1942 for use on the White Pass. Wrecked and shipped out of Skagway, Alaska in 1944. Scrapped in 1946.
